Boxing fans, get ready to climb Through The Ropes and listen to the most unique and exciting radio talk show in years!
Through The Ropes is hosted by award winning boxing writer Marc Lichtenfeld. Marc, who is known for pulling no punches, will ask the tough questions to his A-list guests. But it won't just be Marc doing the talking. Fight fans will get the opportunity to call in to the show and speak with the top newsmakers in the sport. Scheduled to appear this Thursday, March 9th: Legendary trainer Emanuel Steward and Fightnews' own Flattop. I am going to be listening and try to call during the live broadcast, but I doubt I'll get through. So, these are the questions I sent by email:

1. How important do you think a good promoter is in the sport of boxing? And what do you have to say about people who have rose to the top of the sport without one, such as Roy Jones Jr.?

2. If the Roy Jones Jr v Hopkins rematch had happened, who do you think would have won and why?

3. Who do you think will win Hopkins v Tarver? Do you agree with Roy Jones Jr.’s comment during the last Friday Night Fights that Tarver will take Hopkins apart rather easily?

4. Who do you think Joe Calzaghe’s next opponent will be if Antonio Tarver doesn’t happen? Who would win this fight if it did?

5. What do you think of showboating during a fight? How does it hurt superior fighters with the likes of Floyd Mayweather or Roy Jones Jr.?

6. Who do you think will win Mayweather v Judah on April 8th and why?

7. Do you think Felix Trinidad would still have the power to bring on big money pay per view fights if he comes out of retirement again? And what do you think about his second retirement immediately after the Winky Wright fight? Do you feel it was somewhat premature with only two losses, both of which were to superior counter-punchers? What do you say about potential rematches with Oscar De La Hoya and Benard Hopkins?

8. What did you think of the Calzaghe v Lacy fight? And what does this loss mean for Lacy? Can you comment on Calzaghe’s holding, the point deduction in the 11th and the knockdown in the 12th?

9. Assuming Floyd Mayweather beats Zab Judah on April 8, how likely do you think a matchup between Mayweather and Ricky Hatton will be? How soon and who will win?

10. During the pre-fight to Manny Pacquiao v Erik Morales II, you hinted that you did not feel there should have been a rematch and that the fight would have been very similar to the first and that the Reyes gloves that Pacman wanted would not have made any difference. Now that Pacquiao has won the rematch with his Reyes gloves and Morales has exercised his right to a rubber match, who do you think will win the third fight and why?

11. Why no love for Glen Johnson when he has beaten the likes of Roy Jones Jr. (by knockout), Antonio Tarver, and to a lesser extent Richard Hall and Clinton Woods?

12. What do you think of Evander Holyfield? Should he retire or what?

13. What do you think of Kostya Tszyu on Dancing With the Stars (Australia)?

14. Do you feel Oscar De La Hoya has lost some matches that he was given the wins for? Please address specifically the Ike Quartey fight and the Felix Strum fight. Do you feel he should have won some fights that he was given the loss for? Please address specifically the Shane Mosley I fight and the Felix Trinidad fight.

15. What do you think of referee Richard Steele and his controversial calls in numerous world title fights? Please address specifically the Julio Ceasar Chavez v Meldrick Taylor fight among others.

16. After losing to Shane Mosley, how is the future looking for Fernando Vargas? How is it looking for Shane Mosley? Discuss potential future matchups.
