boxing, kickboxing and wrestling in order to keep things standing is best for the streets.
if you get jumped by 6 guys, you run. no hero shit, you WILL lose

wrong, you hold him there and call the police. if he tries to move you crank on his arm and make him cry until the cops arrive.

it is very rare you will be able to do this, most fights are never 1 on 1. some idiot will always jump in, thats why its good to know standup. you can't fight 2 people from the ground.

Untrue. If there is 5 guys there is too many variables. But BJJ advocates striking, essentially boxing is built into it, as is takedown defense, and wrestling.

do any of you guys streetfight? do you understand what its like to streetfight today? I havent had a guy fight me one on one in two years.

There is no honour anymore no one is going to pick a fight with you one on they are going to get you when you are vulnerable.
Ever notice fights usually start one on one then when someone goes down a friend or two come in and kick him when they are down? why because people are cowards they never want to risk getting punched but once a guy is on the ground its soccer season.

here is an example of my latest street fight actually bar room last month.
I get jumped by a gang of wanksters guy punches me I thia clinch him and tell him I dont want to fight just settle down. He goes for a double leg and I emediately put him in a guilotine choke.
Then 5 of his friends get up from a table soround me and start booting me I manage somehow to get up and KO two of them so I can get away.
On my way out someone bottled the back of my head and I fell and chipped two teeth but I got away and If I didnt have the skill too box my way through them then honestly I would have no idea how long they would play soccer with my head or if I would even be alive?

My instructor won't teach just one art. He mixes BJJ, Muay Thai, and boxing each class.
I hope that donkey doesn't have a heinie troll!

You run, son, that's all there is to it, unless your Fedor, and in that case you're safe from a crowd of people going after you. And this story sound fake.

Trust me son, your boxing skills wouldn't matter against a grappler.

but it does against a bunch of punks off the street most people cant throw a good punch or do a proper takedown thats why they jump people because they are a bunch of pussys that cant fight their way out of a paper bag.

I also never said grappling is unimportant in a street fight on the contrary its essential to have a great takedown defence so this shit doesnt happen.

I am also going to start MMA next week and I totally agree that in MMA you gota be efficient on the ground or your screwed so I am really going to be focusing on my ground game and am gona be real anxious to touch up my wrestling and learn some jui jitsu.
