I don't like either fighter, history just shows that Lewis was much better. George Foreman in his prime would have destroyed both of them easily.

Foreman had no prime ... only a start and an end. He kinda stepped away from boxing during what woulda been his prime to worship Jesus. Too bad cuz he mighta been a real champ.

He is considered top 8 of all time by most experts...not bad in my book.....If Ali didn't run from a rematch we would not be talking about this.

By the time Foreman and Ali were doing this Ali had passed his prime ... it was interupted a lil by our gov ... so this is kinda hard for us to debate. I recall somewhere an interview from Ali about Foreman's punches being like getting hit with a wreaking-ball.

When Ali fought Foreman he was 32, liston was 33 when he and Ali fought...but Ali was 9 years younger than Liston when they fought, Foreman was only 6 years younger than Ali...so the idea that Ali was too old proves his win over Liston was just the act of beating up an old man....History has been to kind to Ali...he was a cheater a coward and was given gifts in fights by the judges many times.

Don't be a hater ... and that coward remark needs some more verbage cuz I'm not trackin' with ya on that one.

Seriously though Ali was one shit talkin mofo with an ego problem. He was also a very talented boxer in a period of tough competition. Norton, Frazier, Foreman and so on. He did manage to fight with a broken jaw vs Ken Norton ... none of the fighters today woulda made that happen.

As far as Sunny Liston goes you're right about age helping Ali, just as it did with Foreman/Ali. Just part of the game the fighters wanna keep on fighting even after the time to step away has passed. Look at Eveander ... lol. Ali was beat by fugin Larry Spinks FFS ... that was pafuckinthetic ... but a direct result of a fighter playin past his expiration date. Ali shoulda been in the seats instead of the ring.

I liked Ali's fighting style AND what he did for black awareness but his skills were not as great as what history would have us all remember them to be.

Larry Holmes would have waxed Ali in a prime to prime match up. The more shit Ali woulda talked the more punishment Holmes woulda dispensed. Holmes jab would shut ALi up ... the way Holmes threw that jab from his back foot through the snap of his arm as it hit his opponent's jaw is unmatched.

Lenex Lewis would have been a killer fight for Ali ... and one I would not prognosticate *****cough****Lewis victory******cough******

Tyson would have been knocked out by the third round. Ditto the Brothers Klitchko, Holyfield, and all those beat by these fighters.

Grag Page in his prime ... 8 or 10 fights after he went pro ... woulda been a tough fight for Ali to survive. Their styles were very much alike but Page has sic speed with precision aim from the hip or the shoulder. Fighters just never knew where he was comin from. This is pre drug use Page mind ya not the fat assed loser he turned into ... that was a major disappointment to me. His rise from gold medal Olympian status to top shelf pro then his fall to loser fat bastard status upset me. I was a fan ...
