It's just that a lot is expected out of superstars, look at A-Rod he didn't do that bad yet they say he had a bad season.

There weren't too many good pitchers available at the time and those that were didn't want to come to NY.

My point is, he has much more revenue to work with. I'm sure he draws the most so of course he's spends the most.

Everyone knows hes making a profit, but he is spending more on his team then anyone else in baseball and probably more than many teams combined.

At least he spends it on his team, if you were to look into other teams owners you'll see some of them pocketing the money.

The Mets spend money, Boston the same.
We pay a lot of money to watch these games, they sure as hell better spend some of it on better players.

I can't disagree with that.

I was watching a thing on Sportscenter and they were talking about the Yankees payroll alone being worth more than many teams all together!

Going into the playoffs also helps the pocket a bit.

Tell you a story, years ago the Mets of the 70's were owned by a stingy owner.
The bastard traded one of the best pitchers ever because he was too cheap.
God those late 70's teams sucked ass.

Before the boss came to town the great Yankee teams sucked big time.
