    WWE/Pride

What type of "business" could exist between the two organizations?

    Hmmm interesting!

I would think it would be more of a promotional thing. They need to do something main stream like the UFC has done with Spike to draw the numbers in.

I don't think any. One is a form of entertainment centered around acting and drawn up plot lines. The other is a form of entertainment centered around actual fighting.

Yeah but they both have a similar audience or Target market. Pride needs to find a way to break into the US market, as UFC has a pretty good grasp in US, with its recent mainstream promotions.

They should have real WWE vs PRIDE matches so we could see all the WWE guys get killed.

I sincerely hope they don't do anything together.

Hahaha, that would be awesome. The bell would sound, the WWE guy would start stomping up and pointing his finger and yelling, then the real fighter would just throw a head kick and it'd be over.

I think the WWE/Pride thing might be some type of Vince McMahon buyout offer. You know he will get a piece of the "MMA money pie" sooner or later.
I heard a rumor that UFC offered WWE Wrestler Kurt Angle big money to fight in the octagon. He was/is a great (real) wrestler. Throw in some solid standup with his intensity and wrestling ability and he could be a force.

I think its just pride exploring its options. The fans of the WWE and MMA are likely very similar.

I dunno about that one funk. Most MMA fans I know think WWE is a joke and refuse to watch it. Kinda like the split between Harley riders and jap riders. Most Harley riders think of that old joke about jap bikes and fat chicks. Both fun to ride but you wouldn't wanna have your friends see ya on one.
