    kurt angle mma

Kurt Angle has agreed accordring to the wrestling observer that he will fight in an mma match. How do you guys feel he will do. Winning a gold medal in wrestling is hard enough, but he won it with a broken neck which is awesome. Should be interesting.

Note: possible opponents he mentioned- Tito Ortiz, Ken Shamrock, Randy Couture, Chuck Liddell, or Daniel Puder

I know they've been courting him for a while. How old is he?? He's gotta be pushing 40.

I'm sure after a few years of training he'd be where most the elite wrestlers end up, right at the top of the rankings...

There is no way he could take Couture though because he trains with Fizogen's "The Strap".

He's gotta be takin a pay-cut. What's up with that? He's bound to do well at the mid level but when sprawls transistion to ground and pound he is going to need more than that medal to make the top 10.

Maybe he trains some kinda striking. The hardest part of the ground and pound would be the wrestling and position aspect, and he's got that, unless of course he stopped training wrestling when he went Hollywood!

    And he is 38!

Interesting. They keep saying this about these mainstream guys doing the UFC but I have yet to see any of them. Chuck Zito has been staying this for a year now. I haven't heard anything since he annouced it.

Kurt Angle Claims He'll Fight MMA Bout In May Or June

Source:Phil Adams sent in the following:

Yesterday, Kurt Angle said that he will be doing a shoot fight on a TNA (pro wrestling) PPV in May or June - since he needs time to train.

He mentioned Tito Ortiz, Ken Shamrock, Randy Couture, Chuck Liddell, or Daniel Puder as possible opponents. He wouldn't say who, just that the fight would be real and that it his opponent is a very good fighter with a
    good reputation.

On that note, it should be mentioned that he was a little more respectful of Puder's abilities, contrary to any other time you'd hear him talk about him.
