    Home Team?

I love the NFL as much as anyone but have one issue with it.This is nothing they have done wrong but just a personal issue.I am a KC Chiefs fan and will use them as an example. Many cities have their own teams but why do we cheer on our cities team?Wouldn't it make more sense to cheer on our local guys instead of a team thats put together by drafting players from all over the country. Then we could determine what city really has the best athletes. My Chiefs for example aren't all from KC,wouldn't it be cool if the team was made up of athletes from here in Missouri only.I feel like it almost defeats the purpose of a team calling a city their home field.I am having a hard time explaining this but do you guys ever think about that.

I understand ya. There was a thread many months ago about a similar topic. People were arguing that if the Detroit Pistons (or the best NBA team at the time) were to play in international play, they would win hands down (cuz Team USA obviously sucked). My arguement was that you can't really make that point because there are international stars on almost every NBA team now. Would the Mavs minus Dirk still beat Team Greece? Would a Spurs team minus Ginobli and Parker still beat Argentina (probably not since Ginobli is from Argentina)?

Basically, we already do what you are suggesting on an international level, and we aren't the best anymore.

But it would be pretty neat to see which city/state held it down the most in football. (my bet is on Florida)

What is preventing someone from moving to that city? Would the players have to be born in that city? If not, how do you define someone from that particular city. And what is preventing a team from paying an athlete move to that city, essentially ending up with what we already have?
If sense were common, everyone would have it.

Make it you have lived in that state for about 10 years and preferrably born there.

No, I love the drafting, trading, and sales part about it all. I'd love to GM somewhere.

How many baseball players are actually from North America? Not many...
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.

The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do.
