Girls play too you know! They are nice to watch too I wouldn't say that fed is for sure to win. One of the best matches I've ever seen was when safin beat fed in the semis in the Aussie open it was a classic. Fed is a pleasure to watch right up there with jordan, and tiger he's just so clutch

I don't really watch the Women's tennis, it isn't as exciting. I like the hard hitters and sick angles of the guys.

What are the standings with the woman currently? I am guessing Mauresmo is up there...

It's shapeing up to be a great open, Roddick's in great form but I think the only one that is talented enough and mentally tough enough to challenge Federer in a grand slam at the moment is Nadal.

I saw the semis live at the US Open, it was great. One thing I hate about tennis is that every 5 setter is considered to be an epic. When Blake and Roddick played that 5 setter a couple years back at the US Open, there was 4 sets of shitty tennis, and only 1 good set.

Hopefully another good American comes around, i haven't really watched much since Agassi fell off. When he, Sampras, and Courier were around, that was a great era for tennis, as was when Edberg, Becker, and Lendl. Right now there are really no intriguing players since Federer wins everything.
If sense were common, everyone would have it.

    Not even Nadal or Murray?

Those are a couple of young guys with huge potentional.

Hell, Nadal has even beaten Federer a few times in the past and he is still very young.

Federer will be #1 for a long time, though. It is funny because Nadal and Federer and in their own league as far as total points, but then Federer has accumulated nearly double that Nadal has. However, Nadal is still young and at the rate he has been playing he could be #1 in a few years.

Nadal can only win on clay consistently. He's had way too many bad matches and will never be a really good all around player. Federer owns everyone if you consider all the surfaces.

As for the ladies, I just like watching and listening to the grunting. Vaidisova, Sharapova, Hantchukova are all hot as hell.
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.

The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do.

    What about Dementieva?

I think Nadal will get better on other surfaces, did he see how far he made it on Grass during the last Wimbledon? Very impressive. He is young and I think he will be offering alot later on.

Not every skinny long-haired dude is intriguing. As Pony mentioned, off clay Nadal is weak.

Roddick is ok, and I like Blake, but it is nothing like in the 90's.

Yeah, I love the French because it is the least predictable.

She did very well, she won't last through the French without being injured at her size, though.

That doesn't mean much though Sampress never won there and hes one of the all time greats. Clay is so slow I want to play on it though its so cool to see them slide into the ball.

I am not talking about the clay, I am talking about how beat up her joints are going to be from running around at nearly 200lbs. Hopefully she loses weight, though.

I play on clay, it really doesn't seem all that slow, but the ball bounces more vertically so I see why they say it is. You can really rip the ball on clay, though. I can never really get the slide down, it amazes me how they do that. I slide for about a foot and then my foot catches.

I see what you mean the french is all about ground strokes and the drop shot. Points are alot longer too so that means alot more running. Serena is a better all round player then her sister hopefully she will drop some weight cause she has speed and a whole lot of power buildt more like a sprinter then a tennis player. Its dope you have played on clay here in la all i got is concrete need to go to europe and see what the clay and grass is all about.
