It was a bit immature especially when he says he studies from Tomlinson who is a class act. Plus you shouldn't taunt when your down, it gives the other team even more to play for. I think he'll learn from that mistake.

I read in the papers the Bears were pissed off big time, which motivated them even more.

So what happened? He ran into the endzone and did a front flip or something? Video?

He made a nice run but before he got to the end zone he pointed towards a Bear ( I forget his name) then does a flip to the end zone.

So he turned to the seven Bears who were panting in his wake and pointed a finger. Brian Urlacher, the linebacker who eats nails for lunch, appeared to be the target of Bush's jab, but Bush said that wasn't true. His gesture was a reflex, same with the river dance he did in the end zone after somersaulting into it for a touchdown.

But amid all that karmic bang, Bush, the rookie back, knew he had messed up bad. He turned to Sean Payton, the rookie coach, and said, "I shouldn't have done that." No kidding, thought Payton. He didn't need to glance at a very angry Bears sideline to know there would be repercussions. "If you're going to do that, be ready. We're coming after you," Chicago's Chris Harris said. "That's disgusting. You don't want anyone to do that to you at home."
Harris was the first safety to feel Bush's draft after he hauled in a short flare from Brees at the Saints' 12-yard line. Eighty-eight yards and many huffs later, Urlacher watched Bush motion at him, saw the somersault, felt the heat of disrespect. He was asked later for his deep thoughts. "I think we're going to the Super Bowl," said Urlacher. It was the best retort possible, short, sweet and dripping with sarcasm. The Bears rattled off 23 unanswered points after Bush's taunt-and-vault, and soon there was Virginia McCaskey, daughter of Bears founder George Halas, accepting the NFC trophy, and Lovie Smith wiping away what looked like tears but might have been snow as he talked about what it meant to be the first African-American coach to lead a team to the NFL's championship game and everyone else refusing to stress over which Rex Grossman will show up in Miami two weeks hence.

That is correct. The boys are fired up and ready for next year with NO. The flip was neat but the taunting was rude especially to Urlacher on his home turf.

I dont know why everyone is making a mess out of it. he was happy, however, I have heard that when you are in the end zone, act like you've been there before.

Agreed. The dive into the endzone was no worse than some of TO's or Joe Horn's antics. The turning and pointing was uncalled for, though.

Bush Fined $5,000 for Taunting After TD
    By Associated Press

MIAMI - Reggie Bush was fined $5,000 by the NFL for taunting during his 88-yard touchdown reception in New Orleans' NFC championship game loss at Chicago last week.

Although the rookie running was not penalized for pointing back at Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher or for somersaulting into the end zone, he subsequently received the league's standard punishment for taunting.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello confirmed the fine Sunday.

Bush, the 2005 Heisman Trophy winner and second pick in last year's draft, caught a short pass from Drew Brees on the left sideline. He sped downfield, cut back near midfield and was several steps ahead of Urlacher when Bush turned and pointed at the Bears star. He then did his front flip into the end zone, making the score 16-14.

The Bears won 39-14 to reach the Super Bowl.
