    GSP Vs. Anderson Silva

Jesse Holland (UFCmania):There has been some discussion that you would consider moving up in weight if you were successful in defending your title against Serra and Hughes, and possibly Diego Sanchez. Is this just talk or is it a real consideration?

GSP: If I am able to get past those fighters then I will definitely challenge the champion at 185lbs – as long as he is not a friend.

    Interview: http://ufcmania.com/2007/02/17/a-day...ush-st-pierre/

    Would be a great fight

I agree, that would be a good fight.

That's assuming he doesnt pull a Franklin and look like he's never seen the Muay Thai clinch before.

Not many matchups would feature as much talent as that one. I wonder how much Silva and GSP cut before making their respective weights?

Some fighters seem to have problems with that. Silva destroyed Rampage twice with that.

I have a feeling GSP would win in a fight sort of similar to Silva VS Chonan, except with a knockout instead of a submission. I know Silva has improved quite a bit since then but that's basically how I think the fight would unfold

And on the Wand KO's of Rampage... you can see both of them here if you click through their top 10 pride knockout clips: http://www.maximonline.com/slideshow...ng.aspx?film=1

Yeah I saw them. How could I forget. It was one of the funniest vids.

I like rampage and his attitude, but he makes a perfect villain. I hope he is a champ for a while and is taken out by a "hero." And no, NOT chucky.

GSP is probably my favorite fighter, he would have a real tough time with silva, but it would be close.

I dont know how much GSP would want to stand with Silva, silvas takedown defense sucks, but he is good on the ground. Could be a GREAT fight, and I'd also love to see him at 185

GSP is soooo fired up right now he's prolly doing everything he can to develop his BJJ. He has more of a traditional wrestling style G&P that I think is not going to be hard on Sliva, but on their feet GSP's athleticism will rule Silva IMHO.

I'm would pick Silva in that battle. His stand-up is far more superior then GSP's and his ground game is good as well. I want to see GSP and Hughes again.

It would be an entertaining fight for sure... Even though i love GSP, i think Silva would take it.

I think I'd give the edge to GSP. I can't look past his athleticism. He continues to impress me more every fight. I don't think Anderson's standup is too far ahead of St. Pierre's either. It would definately be an awesome fight and tough to bet on.
