    UFC 75 on Spike

The light heavyweight title unification bout between UFC 205-pound ace Quinton Jackson (Pictures) and PRIDE champion Dan Henderson (Pictures) will be broadcast via same-day tape delay on Spike TV, the television network announced through a press release Monday afternoon.

"We are pleased that Spike TV will bring UFC 75 live from London to millions of UFC fans in the U.S. and Canada," said UFC president Dana White. "UFC 75 will be the UFC and PRIDE's first ever unification match -- this fight between 'Rampage' Jackson and Dan Henderson (Pictures) will decide who is the best 205-pound fighter in the two organizations."

Also set for the card, Mirko Filipovic (Pictures) (22-5-2) returns from his devastating loss to Gabriel Gonzaga (Pictures) back in April to confront French striker Cheick Kongo (Pictures) (10-3-1) and undefeated Ultimate Fighter veterans Michael Bisping (Pictures) (13-0-0) and Matt Hamill (Pictures) (3-0-0) take to the cage.
    Looks decent.

    Life without TIVO is

Buck up ... even the cable company will rent you one for $6 a month. Then you can record all the various MMA stuff on TV and watch it at your leisure.
BODOG, IFL, TUF, and the one on fryday nights that comes on HDNET ... I forget what thew name of that one is.

Pile of shit? It's fast action contact fighting. Yeah I know there's no GNP and no cage. I come from the old school beginnings of the sport with point matches and the PKA so for me it's all good as long as feet are allowed and someone is kicking someone's ass.

So which of the members are you anyway Black Guy?

Damn ... we finally disagree on something MMA related. I love the WFA fights. Especially the women fighters. Points off for stalling, holding, or ANY tactic that delays the action. Virtually eliminates the BS lay&pray tactics.

Yeah, but you can't even clinch, and you can't throw 2 leg kicks in a row.

Last one I saw, there was a guy, exhausted and out on his feet, he'd get knocked down, and the ref would pick him up and yell at him for stalling.

He'd get knocked down, get picked up, knocked down, lather, rinse, repeat.

It seemed very dangerous and poorly officiated, like they just wanted to keep propping the one guy up and hoping for a spectacular knockout.

As far as clinching goes ... good. Clinching sux.

I don't recall anyone getting gigged for double kicks or kick combo's. Imma have to google the WCL rules now. You got me flustered ... ... no kick combo's? WTF kinda kick boxing is that?

    Update ...

    WHAT FIGHTING TECHNIQUES ARE ALLOWED?
    • Punching - jab, cross, hook, uppercut, and spinning backfist
    • Kicking - Front-Kicks, Roundhouse Kicks, Side Kicks, Back Kicks, Hook Kicks, Wheel Kicks,Spinning Kicks
    • Kneeing -Front and Roundhouse
WHAT FIGHTING TECHNIQUES ARE NOT ALLOWED?
    • No Throws
    • No Takedowns
    • No Ground Fighting
    WHAT ACTIONS WILL BE PENALIZED?
    • No Clinching- Intentionally tying-up the opponent's arms in an effort to stop them from punching.
    • No Holding- Grabbing the opponent's body in an effort to stop them from attacking or countering.
    • No Stalling- Intentionally delaying the action of a contest in any way.
    • No Passivity- Retreating or circling without striking - or fighting only when the opponent attacks.

No shot. Hopefully he's being groomed to be smarter than that.

Tank put Cabbage on the mat with a straight right, that kind of power against that kind of a chin has to be noted and respected. The power of the beard won't protect him from one of those coming down the pipe.

I checked their site too for the tech and didn't see it mentioned. But I know for certain that during the match it was said that leg kicks were to be used solely for the purpose of setting up punch and HK combinations and could not be used in repetition.

I guess I'll put it back on the TiVo for a refresher.

Seems from some of the other posts you're a partner of ReproBro. Excuse the bant comment, but normally when someone comes in here and straight up goes to posting in the open chat area without the "How do I do an OHP?" or "Will 12 pounds of shrimp for lunch help me with my cardio?" questions it means he's a bant member with a new screen name.

Yeah, it's just not something I can get into unfortunately. It reminds me of back in the day when I was a little orange belt kicking kids' asses but losing the match due to points.
