It's how the system works. He shouldn't be angry in the least, especially because a lot of players who are making more money than he is signed deals that in the long term won't pay them as much (teams give them big deals before they have to so they can buy them out of a couple of years of free agency) as they would have gotten had they played their arbitration years out and entered free agency the first year they were allowed to.
The only thing I can see him being mad about is wanting guaranteed money now because he isn't confident his fat, disgusting body will hold up for an extended period of time. |
