They were just speculating on ESPN Radio...no real rumors. They were saying the Jays GM has a reputation for asking too much and dragging things out, unlike the Brewers GM who just pulled the trigger on the Sabathia trade because he wanted to get it done.

I would rather him ask to much, then too little.

So has Vernon Wells peaked or what? These past two years have been hugely disappointing for him. A lot of injuries...and when he's not injured, he isn't putting up 2006 like numbers.

Yeah Bummed Shoulder all year last year. Off season Surgery.

Then Broke his Wrist this year, and now his hammy/knee.

The Jays bats in General have been horrible since the 2006 season, I wonder what has changed since then? I know they have improved a little since the new coaching staff took over.

Well based on there current playing

They swept oakland, then got swept by Cleveland, and hopefully will sweep Detroit today, I would say it is possible that that boston will sweep the Jays.

That said things are looking good for Boston, some Key Injuries to the Devil Rays, Longoria is out for a couple of weeks at least. Crawford is done for the season.

I've got no sympathy for the Rays and their injuries. The Sox have been battling injury problems all season, while the Rays have been very healthy. Now it's the Rays' turn to battle the injury bug.

With Langoria having a fractured wrist, there is no way he's back after just a 15 day DL stint. Wrist problems are BAD for a hitter.

Jays seem to have Beckett's number. Only times he hasn't gone more then 5 innings this year is against the Jays.

Tampa has had our number

However since Cito took over as Manager we have been one of the better teams in the Majors. Too bad we sucked shit so bad to start the season.

Neither do I .... In 1989 when he started the club was 13 games under .500. They won there division that year.

Same as this year. Although they won't make the playoffs, certainly an amazing turn around.
