His career stats demand he be in the HOF. But his arrogance and refuisal to show any remorse for his acts, mostly the gambling will ensure he won't be in there anytime soon. Unless he becomes a bit more humble he won't be in the HOF until after he dies. They'll put him in posthumously so he can't gloat about it.

I met Pete back in the late 80's and can attest he was ... well sort of an asshole.
That said, he should be in the hall, no doubt. You should be rewarded for on the field play, not banned for bad decisions off. I know it is cliche, but he really did give 110%. |
