Official MLB playoffs thread
just wanted to say "go cubs go!"
I predict a Red Line World Series with the Cubs sweeping the trashy White Sox. ![]() YouTube - "Go Cubs Go" 2008 Edition |

Dude, that is 1 hell of a photo. I know, you love your cubs, but those Angels will be a hard team to reckon with!

Angels do look good.
I like the White Sox because of Thome and Griffey, it would be nice to see Griffey and Thome excel one last time in the series. I like the Cubs with Pinella...and just to win it finally. |

These playoffs will be very interesting, indeed! The Thome and Griffey story is a good 1, and I would like to see them advance far in the playoffs. I would even like to see Griffey win a title. In the modern era of sport and the taking of steroids to excel, Griffey has been nothing but a true role model! And guys like that are easy to root for!

The only one on the White Sox I like is Griffey. I wouldn't mind seeing him get a ring. Can't stand Ozzy though. Their pitching staff is a little bit iffy though. Every series excluding Phillies/Brew Crew (sorry Repro, but I do think the Phils should win easy) is pretty interesting.

I joined a new gym and the cardio machines each have a private TV. Yesterday I was able to watch some of the Phillies/Brewers game while lifting then while on an elliptical machine. Good stuff.
I've got five miles to do on a treadmill this afternoon and the Rays/ChiSox game will be on. It certainly helps make the time go by faster. God damn is indoor cardio boring. |

Yeah, I usually last for about 15 minutes on a cardio machine until I'm bored out of my mind.

I'd like to see Milwaukee and the Cubs tie up those series.
Really if the Red Sox get knocked out, I'll be happy for whoever wins. I've grown to dislike the Rays just a bit during this season, but not enough to root against them. |

Well, it's looking good for the BoSox now.. If they get to the next level, they might go all the way. I'm still waiting for the Rays to collapse, I don't want them to but I think it's coming.

I'm praying for a Rays/Phils series personally. I'm in South Florida, so I'd definitely do what I could to get my hands on a ticket or 2. But I wouldn't be shocked to see Boston make it at all.

Aside from the "Frank TV" spam I am liking the TBS coverage better than FOX.

Did you see the game or the highlights? OC comes up with the bases loaded and two out in the 7th, down by 3. The Rays pitcher (can't remember who) may have said something. After the first pitch was thrown, OC kicked some dirt towards the mound and yelled something at the pitcher. OC then strikes out.
