This is true.

Didn't see that he tagged on with the Phils.

Point still stands: the Jays won't compete this year with their rotation the way it's currently set up.

Nope I don't disagree.

They need to fortify that starting rotation.

Chacin hasn't pitched in a couple of years. I think last year he was with the Nationals.

Chacín finished his 2006 season 9–4 with a 5.05 ERA. [5]. In 2007, Chacín was arrested on Friday, March 16 for driving under the influence in Tampa, Florida. The left-hander was stopped by Tampa Police at 3:43 a.m. ET and booked on the misdemeanor charge. Police reports indicated that Chacín's blood alcohol level measured .150, which is much higher than the legal limit of .08. The pitcher was released on a $500 bond.[6] In 2008, Chacín began the season with Toronto's Single-A affiliate Dunedin Blue Jays. On May 9, 2008, he was designated for assignment, and was eventually sent outright to the minors. He became a free agent at the end of the season and signed a minor league contract with the Washington Nationals on December 23. After being released by the Nationals, Chacin signed a minor league contract with the Philadelphia Phillies.

***

I knew he was with Toronto as recently as the end of last season. I guess he showed no signs of a rebound with Washington and they too cut him.

Unfortunate.

Have won the first 5 series of the season. Great start with the bats.

Some key loses:

BJ Ryan
Ricky Romero
Jesse Litsch.

All down till at least mid may.

Teacher Shows the Student how it is done.

Halladay vs. Burnett.

Less then 100 pitch complete game performance for Halladay. Awesome stuff.

He is the best pitcher in Baseball. Don't tell that to Sox...his pitcher is the best ever.

Wow from a mets fan, who you would think would say Santana is by far the best.

Santana is not far behind him at all, my comparison now would be the league he plays in.

The Mets bats fall asleep when Santana is pitching, he could easily be 7-0.

This guy is good also but Holliday has been good for a while.

Too bad Halladay isn't pitching in this series.

You think we'd be laying off Jeter or Arod?

I'm glad Brett Cecil is ok. He just took a nasty spill on that non-pitching shoulder.

Yep....

What is it? Janssen, Tallet, and Romero?

Team needs to wake those bats back up. I don't see that happening against Wakefield tonight, however he doesn't pitch the greatest here.

Rance Mulliniks is the new Red Sox color guy. I wasn't sure if I should post this in this thread or the Sox thread, but I figured former Blue Jay gays belong here.

Seriously...Rance Mulliniks???
