I hope he goes to the Jets. 25 TDs and 18 INT, I wouldn't mind 2 free wins against the Jets.
BTW, he is severely overrated, his passing stats are padded by his lack of running game. I like how they always blame it on the defense. As far as I remember, it wasn't the defense that threw almost 20 INTs and fumbled that ball Hoculi blew the call on.
If sense were common, everyone would have it.

Josh McDaniels should be fired for the way he's handled this. A head coach with no experience is a lot easier to replace than a franchise quarterback.
I do agree that Jay Cutler needs to get over himself, but that does not change the fact that McDaniels completely botched this up. |

IAB, why?
Do teams not have the right to try and upgrade where they see fit? McDaniels pondering the idea of acquiring Matt Cassel and trading Cutler for picks isn't wrong. In fact, I would probably make that trade. Get a 1st and a 3rd from the Jets for Cutler, trade your 2nd rounder for Matt Cassel.. they get an extra pick, that was higher than the 2nd rounder they gave up and get a quarterback whose more than serviceable and will most likely be pretty darn good. I see where Cutler is coming from but the right thing to do would be to come out and prove the doubters wrong. |

cassel at quarterback, while being able to add an extra first round talent to your roster.
i love cutler but the drop off from him to cassel + 1st, 3rd round pick is an upgrade. |

thats not what they would have gotten in that trade. it was a 3 way trade and they would not have gotten cassel plus a 1st and 3rd for cutler. and in no way would i trade cutler for cassel and 2 picks. the draft is a crap shoot. they could easily have wound up with a 1 year wonder in cassel and 2 busts that eat up cap space

no teams came calling the Patriots until after the deal with the Chiefs had been agreed upon. based on what the Chiefs gave up and whats being rumored as the starting point in any package for Cutler, the Broncos would be be better off with Cassel at quarterback and upgrades at other positions. this isn't a Super Bowl team as presently constructed with Cutler. I, for one, take my chances with Cassel and upgrade on the defensive side during the draft with the 12th and 17th (Jets pick) picks in the first round and a couple other conditional picks in later rounds. |

Jets Are Interested in Cutler
By GREG BISHOP Published: April 1, 2009 Count the Jets among the teams interested in trading for Jay Cutler, the disgruntled Denver Broncos quarterback. A Jets employee confirmed the team’s interest on Wednesday morning, although the team has officially declined to comment. Cutler became available late Tuesday after the Broncos released a statement that they were accepting trade offers for their quarterback. The team’s relationship with Cutler has been deteriorating since they looked into trading for Matt Cassel, who ended up going from New England to Kansas City. “Numerous attempts to contact Jay Cutler in the last 10 days, both by head coach Josh McDaniels and myself, have been unsuccessful,” Pat Bowlen, the Broncos’ owner, said in a statement. “A conversation with his agent clearly communicated and confirmed to us that Jay no longer has any desire to play for the Denver Broncos. We will begin discussions with other teams in an effort to accommodate his request to be traded.” Cutler’s agent is Bus Cook, who also represents the retired quarterback Brett Favre. It was Cook and Mike Tannenbaum, the Jets’ general manager, who put together the trade that brought Favre to New York last August. Coach Rex Ryan has said repeatedly that he is content with heading into the 2009 season with the current crop of quarterbacks on the Jets’ roster — Kellen Clemens, Brett Ratliff and Erik Ainge. Only one of those quarterbacks, Clemens, has played in an N.F.L. regular-season game. Clemens acknowledged last week that the Cutler-to-Jets rumors have been distracting. Other Jets, like safety Kerry Rhodes, were critical in their comments of Cutler, although Rhodes said he would accept Cutler as a teammate. The team did not immediately return telephone calls seeking initial comment. Cutler represented the Broncos at the Pro Bowl after last season, in which he passed for 4,526 yards and 25 touchdowns along with 18 interceptions. The Broncos, however, failed to make the playoffs. The question now is what the Broncos will want in return for Cutler. The Jets hold the 17th pick in the draft later this month, but would most likely need to involve a third team to get a deal done. The Broncos are believed to want a proven quarterback and draft picks. One team with two quarterbacks is the Cleveland Browns, but they are coached by Eric Mangini, whom the Jets fired after the season ended. Tannenbaum, though, has a proven track record in pulling off deals this time of year. Two years ago, he acquired running back Thomas Jones in a trade. Last year, it was defensive tackle Kris Jenkins and then Favre. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/04/02/sp...tml?ref=sports IronMagLabs 1-ANDRO Rx Pro-Hormone - BUY 2 GET 1 FREE SPECIAL! Apparently, Denver has asked teams to only text them because they've been bombarded with phone calls and proposals and their having trouble doing their due diligence on each offer.
Denver is going to get a ton for him. |

I agree, because there are several teams that really want Jay Cutler. It's inevitable that whoever gets him will have to overpay. It's going to be like the Herschel Walker trade all over again in the sense that Denver is going to get a ton.

You severely overrated Cutler and that's saying something considering how good he is.
