training forum strickly 4 newbies
Hey prince, I don't know if anyone has suggested this at all, but I was thinking how nice it would be if maybe we could seperate the training forum into two forums, one for newbies and one for the rest of us who are a little bit more advanced. This could be a nice feature b/c it seems like all the newbies ask the same ??s over and over again and this gets kind of monotonous for others who have seen the same question 20 times this week. This way they can kind of all congregate together and bond over their similar questions instead of posting the same things. I saw this on another site and thought it was a great idea that would be beneficial to newbies and the rest of us, what do you think???

That sounds like a good idea to me also.

In theory, yeah. But how will you regulate the "nebies" from chattering up the advanced forum? These guys are going to gravitate towards more experienced people because they want to learn......and are pretty much too eager to start from the beginning. Either that, or they think they are more experienced than they actually are.

Plus I am willing to bet that all the advanced people would not go into the newbie forum too often, so any questions that a newbie would want answered by someone with a bit of experience would never get answered. I know I came here for input from people with a little bit more knowledge. I wouldn't consider myself a complete newbie but by no means do I have all the answers that the people who have been doing this for 10+ years have, so where would I post? Maybe a better idea would be a FAQ section ??

gr81, I appreciate the suggestion (and I will keep it in mind) but at this time I do not want to add any additional forums.

I have seen a forum with a similar idea, problem is everyone is in the advanced section asking newbie questions because nobody visits the newbie forum. Unfortunately I only see this as problematic, and who is to say what is advanced and what is basic? After all are we not all doing basic compound movements?
Some will admit they are new and dont have any idea what they are doing so they will post in the newbie forum, others will not.

Coming from a newbie here, but how about one of those sticky's with links to good threads & the website with exercises and stuff like that....
