ok well thanks anyways.
i am still sure that there is a way to select member names that are allowed to post in a certain area...or put a password on a thread...just a suggestion.

No, it's not possible to lock a thread so that only certain users can post in it.

It is possible to lock forums down this way, but as you can imagine this would be an administrative nightmare for me.
