Quotes

Hey Prince.........How do you make double or even 3 or 4 quotes together and reply to them, cuz if you quote someone what you reply may be part of what he quoted from another person, I am definitely not explaining this right but do you know what I mean?????????

Each of us conceals an abyss, though few of us are aware of its existence, and even fewer dare to explore its vastness.

I thought of that too, then I saw it in action on another board and it makes it very difficult to read. Especially when it is the 4th or 5th quote.

I'd like to know too!

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain...

I right click the QUOTE picture, OPEN IN NEW WINDOW, and then cut and paste that text and edit as needed, into my original quoting post.

This way you can quote multiple people, or if you do not want the "originally posted by" you can simply copy and paste as needed, and use QUOTE tags, and B for bold if needed.

what i do is quote someone then highlight it and copy, then hit the back button on the browser and quote the next bit you want, then paste what you copied into the next quote, if you can understand that

Using the back button sometimes wipes your post though

I open in new window, take what I need, and go back to my original posting awaiting me.

In UBB, which vB was born of, had quotes within quotes automatically. vB started out having it, but eventually got rid of it, as it was more of a hassle than a good thing. The quotes would get out of hand and you had to sit there and delete excess junk.
