Give your ideas to combat SPAM

BODYBUILDING SUPPLEMENTS
High Quality Supplements For Bodybuilders and Athletes. www.ironmaglabs.com
I am starting to see some spams about anabolic steroids here. It is bad, this is such a high quality board.

Why not to prohibit messages and new threads in the day when you register ?
That is not gonna stop the problem but will make things difficult.

Do you have any other idea ?

Spam is just something that we all have to deal with on the internet, whether it be on a message board or email.

The moderators here do a great job of catching spam, and removing it quickly.

How annoying would that be to a new member, they register and have to wait a day before they can ask a question? Not a good idea if we want to keep this board active and growing.

Vieope, the thing is for Prince to make posting approvals and such becomes an administration nightmare. I do know of a couple boards that require approval process for your membership to go through, but again its alot of work and sometimes people just wont even bother coming back.

Spam is annoying but really it wont kill anyone to look at it. If anyone is enough of a sucker to actually buy something and they get scammed, well that is unfortunate. Of course stopping spam before it starts would be a great way to stick it to 'em, but its rarely possible without a huge workload.
