Is there any way to get that button back that you would click-and it would take you to the last post YOU visited in a certain thread? Instead of scrolling through all the posts?

Is there a way somewhere in preferences to automatically direct you to the last post in a thread? I know there must be, just haven't spent time looking. Generally when I click a thread I am like a page behind the last post. I have to click and maneuver my way to the end. I know its not a serious thing, but is a pain in the (_|_) having to do it every time. Even if you had to click the button everytime to bring you to the last post I would think shouldn't be necessary. I tried the display modes..and that doesn't do any justice. Any ideas ???
