That is not true. I have 4 siblings who are either gay or bi. They choose to be with others of the same sex or different sex just as much as a hetero chooses. By your logic, it isn't my choice that I only have sex with women. I could certainly choose to do otherwise, but I choose to be straight. People can not always choose their desires, but they choose to sleep with men, women, animals, or whatever/whomever--rape being an exception. We choose our actions. This is a democracy. If the majority of the people want marriage to include homosexual or bestial relations, then so be it. Until then, the majority will strive to preserve the sanctity of marriage as it was intended in this country.

I however don''t have that choice!! Im not attracted to men, whether it be physically, emotionally, u name it. Been there, attempted "straightness" done it almost against my will, just to please others and "make everything look good"...now Im beyond that as I have matured into understanding that fighting my very nature is pointless and hurtfull, to me and others.

What I was saying is that we choose our actions, but do not have complete control over our desires. I was saying that your analogy about not having agency over a lifestyle being the same as not having the choice what we do sexually is erroneous. I have no problems with people including homosexual behavior as part of their lifestyle. I love my siblings the same, even though they are gay. I believe you when you say that you can not choose to be attracted to men. But, that doesn't mean you can't choose what you are going to do about it. Lots of people have desires to do things that others find deviant or morally objectionable (steeling, praying in public, eating clay, dressing immodestly etc). Simply having desires doesn't justify the fulfilling of those desires. I don't think people should be banned or anything like it because they are gay. I was just pointing out that being born a specific color has nothing to do with the agency over your actions. By your logic, being born black would force you to act black. I'm sure we all agree that this is not true. No matter what cards you are dealt coming into this world, free agency is a gift to all--except maybe the seriously ill.

as conservative as i am and even more so appear to be on this forum i have to say crazy has a point. its only a small minority of homosexuals who have the "look at me, everyone should be doing this" mentality. and as much as i disagree with it, they have the right to do it as much as anyone. thats what this forum is about, its really pretty open to what is allowed, if you dont like it, there are other forums, or dont read those specific threads
