suggestion regarding polls

I hate the fact that when someone votes in a poll that is 47 years old, it bumps the poll to the top of the forum. I'd prefer that when an old poll receives a new votes, the vote gets registered but the poll stays buried in the forums where it belongs. The only thing that should bump a thread is a new post in it.

It's also deceiving because when an old poll gets a vote, the thread indicates an updated "last post" date, but when you open the thread there actually is NOT a new post. The updated date reflects the new vote, not a new post. That needs fixing.

Hey RD, if you're swamped with other stuff, give me access to the Admin Control Panel and I'll take care of this.

Old polls should just close after a certain time frame.

Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.

Thank God or Allah or whomever, I hate bumped polls.

"We are like tenant farmers chopping down the fence around our house for fuel when we should be using Natures inexhaustible sources of energy — sun, wind and tide. ... I'd put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don't have to wait until oil and coal run out before we tackle that."
