Ads in threads

Why are there ads in the threads now? I understand that this is a business, and you are trying to get the supplement line moving.. but thats one thing I always liked about IM.. was the lack of ads while reading threads. I hate seeing "buy this" or "I used this and now look at me!" in the middle of the thread, there are so many advertisements and shit all over now days, it would be nice to read a forum without having them constantly shoved down your throat in every thread. [/soapbox]

Just scroll past it? You guys are making it more of a big deal than you should. It's just an ad .. at least it's not spamming your computer with constant pop-ups.

Remember, this is Rob's business. He has to pay each month for this board to exists so therefore, like any other business, is going to use their forums as a means of advertising. So if he has no income to support the board, then it won't exist

Its like a commercial in the middle of the damn thread, its whack. I know this is Robs business, I already stated that(plus, Rob is doing just fine.. trust me).. maybe make it so elites dont have to see them?

If I want to use a product, I will use it(I do use some of IML products already), I just hate being bombarded by ads.

It is interesting because it is an ad about IM at IM. If I am at IM I am pretty sure that I heard about IM before.

I'm not complaining, but I'm with PreMier on this one. I've lost a lot of respect for boards such as www.ironforlife.com and www.anabolicminds.com because I've watched them grow overly commerical. It begins to make the board seem like it's main purpose is to sell you products and the free exchange of information is being stiffled etc...

I just hope for the integrity of the board, and Rob, that it isn't overdone. Ads in the middle of threads get annoying and reflect poorly on the board.

I think it is great that Rob has his own product line. Ideally, the product information should be offered to those in the market for such products, not pushed on people who are not looking for them.

You should make a television commercial using members of the board.

Or a radio commercial, I don't think we want to actually see most of the people on this board.

Any word on what the EFA complex is about?

Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.

Cmon! It'd be great.

Half of the people could have Maximum Pump + Matrix Rx, and the others could have the "next leading brand", and then both teams battle it out in a gym. Obviously the IronMagLabs guys would come out on top.

Did you ever see the WWF Attitude commercial? I'm thinking itd be something like that.

Though that would probably make Rob the Vince McMahon character :P
