I never said you can emphasize one over the other.

If you will read the post Gaz said the quad is one muscle and the back is many. This is wrong as I pointed out.

He cannot fathom the notion that you cannot emphasize certain portions of a muscle over others.

sorry for interrupting but im jsut curious, the training section is for people who need help training, and there are noobs that post stuff about 'build a routine' and 'am i doing this right'. what are ideal threads and questions that would not irrate yall. i guess what im asking is what questions havent been answered that isn't considered a noob question and a question that would be enjoyable to answer?

feel free to ignore this, was just wondering.

If you read the stickies and then ask a question beyond that content, then it would generate interest.

I've spent some time on other forums, but I personally feel that IM is the best.
The amount of information here is amazing and I have complete respect for so many people here.
I'll admit, sometimes the "how's my routine" questions get a little old, but I honestly do not see why it's so difficult for a 'noob' to read the damned stickies.

That's it.

Questions like, "I'm doing a full workout of nothing but biceps, should I do 20 or 30 sets for each exercise?" is pretty insulting in that it shows the person has done nothing to educate themselves and want to be spoon-fed.

On the other hand, asking if your push/pull/legs routine is well balanced shows just the opposite and will get some very useful input.

The creatine questions were the worst, it's not so bad now.

No, that's not how it goes. It's more like, "I been taking creatine for four weeks, how long should the PCT be?" or "I took too much creatine, am I going to die?"

i bet in the world you live in every one is a pony, eats rainbows, and craps butterflys.

Yeah, my bad - i should have made that clearer, lol.

My point was that the quad muscles do the same thing (basically), whereas the muscles of the back do very different things.

I dont wanna get into that topic again fuck it.

Please tell me that wasnt actually a thread.

Funny story though, when i was a n00b and started taking Creatine to "get big" i misread the dosage and took 2 tablespoons instead of 2 teaspoons.

My legs cramped up before i even got to the fucking gym.

People are going to come here because they need help. I don't think that is to surprising. People stay here for years with thousands of posts because they need help, IMHO. You have to ask yourself what is normal and move on from there. I am not normal, BTW. I'm just not totally abnormal.... yet.

from a newbie...

I read the articles / stickies and a whole bunch of stuff..

*BUT*

Somtimes I want the "latest" information, not something from 2 years ago. How much has technology (training) and science (nutrition, etc.) changed in 2 years? Might get different answers from what you would in a searcch.

Also, I read the stickies, put together a program, but am not sure of the interpretation of some items.. sometimes you just need someone else to say "yes or "no".. other times it is good to get another opinion...

For those before me > Thank-You!

It's all good!
