It depends what your goal is. There are a few thread about protein powders out there do a little search. My favorite would be proteins from Optimum Nutrition and to makes your own hardcore mix you can use www.proteinfacotry.com they are awesome , I just ordered 5 total pounds of protein from them, 3 lbs WPC, 1 lbs egg white, and 1 lbs caseinate flavor Chocolate, sweetener stevia all blended together and I likes the taste better than the optimum chocolate flavor.

To be honest I really don't like the taste of Optimum protein but I find it mixes very well. If you go with Optimum I would plan on mixing it up as a shake with fruit, milk, etc.

For overall versatility and tast I prefer Prolab's Pure Whey in strawberry....it's good on its own or mixed in a shake...the only downside is that it doesn't mix well unless you use a blender.

I also like chocolate (most brands here are good...Designer, Prolab, Optimum, etc.) but it's not as versatile...ie. Choclate isn't much of a combo when mixed with banana, OJ, and strawberries.

    Hope this helps!

one thing you'll learn about protien drinks they all have a different taste, comparing strawberry from Opt and strawberry from Prolab they'll vary. it all comes down to your own taste buds.

    Good point!!

Even different proteins from the same company taste different!!

eg...Optimums 100% WHEY choc is quite good, however the choc ProCompex makes me puke

Another is Labrada......the ProV60 choc taste fucking great, but the choc ProPlete tastes like crap!!
