Right now i am taking Higher Power Micronized Creatine taking it pre and post workout. Next i will get the Green Magnitude Creatine i heard it is better. So should i take 1/2 scoop pre or post on Green Magnitude?
Also, one more thing i was told a few things someone told me to do as many cycles as you want for 8 weeks on and 4 weeks off and keep doing this until you finish your creatine container. Someone else told me to not take any cycles and just keep taking creatine with no cycles. Which one is correct?
there is no need to cycle creatine. i do suggest taking a break every few months for a couple of weeks. if you want to consider that a long cycle, then go for it.
green mag is ok, you can split the dose, or take it all at once, either way you should be fine. i dont fully believe creatine needs to be taken around the workout time, so its your call.

Thanks buddy for the helpful response! So would you say then creatine doesn't need to be taken post-workout? I should take a 1/2 scoop before working out? "pre?"

Oops, i read it wrong i meant since you said creatine doesn't need to be taken around the workout time. So don't take creatine on pre-workout take it on post after working out?
I take 5g before and 5g after I workout but that's because it's convenient for me. I rarely take it on my days off anymore and can't tell any difference. I guess if you add it up I still take 40g a week so that's 5 more than what's recommended but I just don't take it everyday like you're suppose to.

Yes, i see what you mean? You're from san diego? I am from san diego as well.
Yup and if you're from SD then you don't have to take creatine exactly as the companies recommend and trust me it will work just fine for you.
What do you mean if you're from SD you don't have to take creatine as the companies say? What does that have to do anything being from SD? I am confused?

I was joking about the San Diego part.
The compaines make their would have you believe that you have to load, or take creatine everyday, or a certian amount is necessary regaurdless of your weight/activity ect... what i'm saying is that it's bullshit. Experiment and find out what works for you, might be more than what's recommended, probably less
so i guess this might seem dumb but its another n00b inquiry about creatine...
I just started taking it and the container says to take at least once scoop full which seems to be 57g. But I've been reading some sights that I should really be taking a max of 20g a day split over 4 drinks ... have I been basically waisting creatine by taking a full 57g scoop of this shit daily?
It just seems ridic that i've been messing up so badly and that the label would steer me so wrong [im not so naive that i think they would be honest, but telling me to take TWICE what I should? nuts!]
Oh yea it looks like each serving has 42 g of suger making each serving of 57g actually about 15g of creatine? So that I would need like 1.25 scoops a day to hit 20g of creatine?
Thanks, i would have never figured this out on my own
