Can anyone recommend something that will prevent excess glycogen pump? I don't have the money (or trust in most doctors) to see if I have a thyroid/insulin resistance problem, so I'm trying to control things on my own.

Here is what I know of so far that are supposed to help:

Cinnimon
Gymnema sylvestre
Vanadyl sulfate

This would be a great help because I worry that the insulin is not going directly to the cells (muscle) and is just floating around, waiting to turn into fat instead. Tonight I had 1/4 of a small apple with my whey, and POOF! This doesn't usually happen with oatmeal, but I decided to experiement because I wanted to see if my body changed it's level of tolerance...Obviously it still has a problem.
