Fish Oil has helped me, please read if you have inflamed joints

Since I suffer from periodic inflammation in my lower back and occasionally left shoulder I found this to really hinder my progress for some workouts, particularly in the past few months. I have a prescription bottle of strong anti-inflammatories sitting at home but they mess with my stomach so I try to avoid taking them. Someone recommended fish oil so I made my way down to GNC and grabbed a bottle of the soft caps. All I can say is that it has worked miracles for me. Not only do I feel like my inflammation doesn't persist but I actually noticed a big improvement in how all my joints feel overall (especially during compound movements) and my skin is not as dry as it use to be. I'm not trying to say this is some breakthrough supplement that everyone "must" have but if you find yourself in my shoes, with periodic pain in joints and back due to inflammation, and are ready to make your way down to the doctor to grab some strong prescription grade pain killers, I urge you to grab some of this stuff first and give it a shot. Inexpensive too, relatively speaking and actually has other health benefits rather than risks associates with pharmacuticals. Here is the one I bought so I know this one works, there are other brands to choose from but be sure they carry at least a 1:3 ratio of EPA/DHA (active ingredients):

Not at all, maybe just sounds like it. I'm just giving example of personal experience in hopes that others can benefit. Heck I've never heard of fish oil being good for anything before until now so I'm just trying to inform others that natural alternatives, that work, do exist to conventional meds with sides.

You can't say enough good things about fish oil. It's practically a panacea.

I've been taking 6 a day for a month while on UD2. I haven't noticed it helping my joints at all.
Which sucks because I could use the help!

I've found that the highest dosage per dollar is Carlson's.

    Also, are you taking glucosamine?

It was one of the first pieces of advice that I got from IM. I had a clicking noise in my left shoulder when I benched. So I asked for help and someone recommended glucosamine. Five weeks later, the clicking went away and never came back.

    Of course, YMMV.

The only effective Omega-3's are from fish oils. Plant based Omega-3's(UDO's) are ALA ( alpha-linolenic acid) which will not convert to the key Omega-3's EPA and DHA. EPA is key component. find a fish oil made by Croda which contains 92% EPA/DHA. The following ailments will benefit from taking these oils:

    Heart Health
    Joint Health
    Brain Health and Memory
    Anti-Inflammation in general

The key Ratio for Joint and Heart health is 6:1 EPAHA from fish source. Try anything produced from Croda( The finest producer in the world) EPA converts to DHA selectively in the brain. ( see Dr. Artemis Simopolis and her dissertation on Omega-3 supplementation)
