    Burning & Aching shoulder

I have been lifting off and on for the last 8 years and since january 09 I have been lifting faithfully. Just this last week I have been having the worst pain in my shoulder when trying to do almost any work out that has to do with my upper body. I have never had this pain before. The best way to describe it is that I have heartburn in my shoulders.....lol funny description I know. I will add that I am in the last week of a phera plex cycle and I am wondering if that has anything to do with my shoulders. Are there any natty supps I can take to help with this? Any idea what the shoulder pain is?

Shoulder pain is nothing to screw around with since the area is so complicated. Best to see a doctor and until you do avoid shoulder movements and bench pressing.

    Rest, Ibuprofen, Ice.

I have had numerous shoulder injuries, if it hurts stop training until it heals, give it a week and if it does not feel any better I would see a specialist.

    RICE

Which would be exactly what Prince had said. Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation (not needed because it's your shoulder, obviously). Also Ibu to help the inflammation if there is any.

I used to play baseball at the collegiate level, and my throwing shoulder would constantly have the pains that you are talking about. If I was feeling the pain, I would immediately stop working out and rest it for 3-4 days.

I agree, I've been lifting for 14 years and had my share of injuries. The best thing to do is to take a break and avoids exercises that add more stress to the shoulder (which is even harder as they are involved in most upper body exercises).

In particular, I did suffer from many shoulder problems and after years of abuse I still get some discomfort especially when sleeping and after getting up (burning and poking sensation). What I started to do to help is taking higher dosage of Fish Oil (actually it started out as a treatment for another problem) but I noticed by joints were getting less stiff and my shoulder pain pretty much gone. I take around 4-6 grams (that is a lot, so I don't take the soft gel form, instead I take the pure liquid form 2-3 tea spoons a day).

I did try Glucosamine many years ago before it got into main stream and became popular, I did feel a difference but not much toward pain. A good supplement for muscle pain is DLPA (DL-phenylalanine) or your good old ibuprofen as an anti-inflammatory.

If the pain is not controllable and gets worst, you need to see a doctor, they might start with a cortisone shot or if it is bad they might do a surgery (a friend did that and it actually helped)

same thing happening to me..right shoulder burning when doing any chest, shoulder, some back.
my question is: im in mid cycle, i've stopped doing anything for few days already, but i'm still taking my stuff on schedule. am i going to f*ck up my cycle from not lifting these few days?
I can't take ibuprofen because of my cycle ( liver )

okay here's the deal. back in August of 09 I don't know what happened but I hurt my knee big time blew up like a baloon out of no where right? so I don't exactly have insurance and I was kind of screwed so my neighbor got wind of this and told me to try Absorbine Liniment gel actually he gave me his I tried it and in a few days I was up and walking around. I am now a total user of this product for those days I might train harder than my norm. Research it the company is in business over 118 yrs and they use it for Race horses tendons and sore muscles.

Look I get soreness in my bicep tendon area quite a bit because I am trying to get my biceps to 19" long way to go so I use this afterwards and in hours my soreness is gone so I keep on using it till I find the holy grail Lol =-)

research it here GOOGLE ABSORBINE YOU'LL FIND IT. CAN'T PUT THE LINK HERE good luck and WASH YOUR HANDS AT LEAST THREE TIMES.
