Whey Protein Shake - How long are they good for

I'm having a tough time getting in enough calories, and was thinking about making a shake and just sort of sipping on it throughout the day. Or a couple throughout the day depending on work and meetings.

    But I wasn't sure if
    1. it goes bad and actually isn't healthy after a while
    2. the whey breaks down so it would be no better than drinking water.

Generally, a shake made in the morning should be good to sip on for the whole day provided you keep it stored properly. Even after a few days, I don't think it will break down to be no better than drinking water, protein will still be there, only it will go bad and can give you a nasty stomach ache.

Don't just get a whey protein shake. My whey protein shakes made with water are only like 120-130 calories/serving.

    Get a mass gainer powder.

My problem is that they have to be clean calories. When I'm eating clean I always struggle with the clean calories.

I'll try mixing up a few servings at once and just sip on it through the day. I like the Syntrax Nectar stuff, so add in some ice and it should last me all day.

    Thanks for the advice all.
