Can Nitro-Tech really be this good?

Lately, I've been reading alot of those Men's health and fitness magazine during spare time at work and they all concur that Nitro-Tech Protein supplements are really great. Now I realize that they could probably be paid for their endorsements of Meso-Techs Nitro-Tech but still, it has to pretty good, right? It's been said in most of these publications that it's 24X for effective than regular whey due to it's Nitrogen transportation system(which they love to point out is patented). Regular whey isn't delievered as effectively and a good portion of it is wasted due to it's unefficiency. They're not going out and saying that whey protein is bad or anything(it got a 3 out of 5 rating most of the mags) but Nitro-Tech was definitely held at a higher regard due to it's results. They claim the average user gained 6lbs. of lean muscle mass in 6 weeks from this and ONE guy got 15lbs. and 50 lbs. on his max bench press. 6lbs. to me sounds like a reasonable claim to make for a 6 week period combined with a good diet and proper weight training. What do you guys think? I can this supplement for free because I'm returning some trashy crap I bought from GNC so don't hold back for the price issue(it's kinda expensive).I bought that GNC Whey MRP and man was that bad. They claimed it only to be 260 calories dry but once you add some water, it's like drinking pancake batter. Money is not the issue.
Thanks,
Sam

Could be they all concur because they are owned by the same company and getting the same advertising money, just a thought.

A lot of people do gain a few lbs in a short time with nitro tech.

This is because it has creatine, it's on the label, but the adverts don't tell you this.

What you gain quickly is just water weight.

Personally, I think Muscletech puts out good products. Are the 24 times better or provide 19 times the growth...yada yada yada....NO. But they are priced as if they are. So I'd use other stuff that is almost/just as good but much cheaper. But if money is no object go ahead!

(Caveat, I on occassion use celltech because I have found no results from any other creatine product).

Well, i don't like nitro-tech. But i do like celltech. However, it's atrociously overpriced and not worth it because of it.

Home brew celltech is just as good/effective.

Yeah, I can get it basically for free but I'd rather not waste it if it's not any good. I could use the store credit for something else. What else should I buy with the store credit for around $60?

I almost got a job working in their marketing department here in Toronto. Then I had to write an article on why their products were so much better than other similar products out there. I just couldn't ethically do it.

My working title was going to be "Muscletech: More money means we can advertise even more!"

Either that or "How to make a six page advertisement look like actual research!"

Funny that everyone I saw who worked in the department I would have been working in were not in very good shape.

Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.

I hate Muscletech for all the bullshit they throw out at people, but damnit, I have to admit they have the best tasting protein bars out there. I tried their smores and blueberry cheesecake bars and they taste great. Now I hear they have a cookies and cream bar, and I bet that tastes even bettter. Arrgghhh!! Why Muscletech?! Anybody but them!

Muscle-Tech is extremely overated and overpriced. I have not been in this sport for that long really, but have been around long enough to have gone through a lot of supplements. Since talking to different people and reading different posts, and trying different products I have found that for the money it is not worth buying. Really for a fraction of the price you can buy micronized creatine and mix with grape (I prefer apple) juice and basically come out with the same results. Also this so called loading phase (which about all of the manufactures want you to do) is not necessary either.

It all comes down to what you want to believe and if you have the financial means to buy this stuff every couple of weeks, which by the way could go a long way twards buying a nice mansion, then help yourself.

Some of this is true and I agree with (i.e. the products being overpriced), but it is the same Muscletech bashing that I find so confusing. First, THEY PUT OUT A GOOD PRODUCT! And since when did Americans have a problem with a company taking its products and making them "top shelf" through marketing? Are some of their claims ridiculous? Of course -- but no worse than EVERY OTHER company! Lighten up people. You don't want to use muscletech fine, but its a solid company, though overpriced.

Personally I agree and do not use their products except celltech (creatine and juice or an other transport does nothing for me.)

Also Badger I take umbrage with your comments re loading. You state that as a matter of fact loading "is not necessary".

That is not fact or at least not an accurate one. Necssary for what? If you want to saturate your muscle cells with creatine withing 5 days (as opposed to several weeks) it is my belief that you SHOULD load. If you don't care that it take several weeks for the cells to be saturated than loading "is not necessary."

Now, I will qualify my statement and not that experts disagree on this point, but it certainly is not scientific fact that loading is a waste of time and money, which was the implication of your statement.
