From what I understand, it matters little. Though most people I know take it post-workout.

I have no opinion on loading, when I took it I took 5 grams a day no matter what, I simply didn't feel the need for any more. Someone said they do 10 grams a day.

I'll let someone more experienced answer your loading question.

From the 5 grams I took, I could sense slight pumps, but I wouldn't say the 5 grams I took were ground-breaking.

(I took it pre-workout if you are wondering)

The pumps I'm referring to are muscle pumps, as in more energy -- which is exactly what Creatine does, it gives your muscles more energy. Creatine is naturally found in red meat, and certain fish, though probably in lower portions than you could possibly get through supplementation. Though, to clarify, I am also somewhat of a non-responder when it comes to Creatine, as in I naturally have more, so maybe the five grams I took could end up in 500 reps more (I'm exaggerating obviously) for someone with regular Creatine levels.

you can take it whenever, 5 grams is a standard dose, but there are calculators out there to find the appropriate dose for your weight.

I have about 5 g during.. then another 5 g whenever I have my shake during the day.
I feel 10g works well for me.

once creatine levels are saturated in the body, you no longer need to continuously take creatine. you need to take a maintenance dose, but to continuously take 10 grams everyday for a long time at some point becomes a waste.

    Yea, I've heard that.
I just use basic cheap monohydrate though, so even at 10g/day a container lasts a while.. so I figure why not.. lol.

5g of Creatine Mono works for me long-term. I don't think you need to load if you plan to stay on the supplement. I don't cycle on and off, so loading is kind of a non-issue.

I agree with this post. I would also add that when you take it doesn't matter.

And you can dose it however you want. I usually go with 10g pre w/o and 10g post w/o for a week, then go to 5g pre and 5g post.

Yup, Shaker bottle. Shake it up every time before I take a drink.
