Hi Forums. Not sure if i should be posting in this thread or a different one so excuse me and sorry for the long post with that being said
My Dr is the one that gave me this site
I'm 40yrs old all my life i have been 6'2" tall and very slim average weight 180 (Pant sz 33/36 until recently. (to make it short) The wife of 15yrs walked out on xmas left me and the kids the stress i went threw was crazy insane i lost 2 pants sizes and 40lbs well now that is all in the past and its time to move on. my weight lose was a big concern so my doctor gave me a free membership to a local fitness center for 1year, I work out everyday except fridays, i work the upper half and lower half on different days. When i started the gym it was a huge stress reliever. I am using Jack3d b4 work out and Jay Robb Egg White Protein (Chocolate) once a day after lifting and i really like it since i am Lactose Intolerant which is a issue (not sure if i should use more) I have gained 5lbs in 2weeks with this and lifting So something is working So the main question is help me with a choice. I'm not looking to be huge but would like to look fit.
Few things about me:
Very High Metabolism
very little fat on this body
Tall and Slim
I'm willing to try a whey protein even though i'm lactose intolerant but the variety of choices is to much for me.
Your thought would be DEEPLY appreciated,
Primary purpose:
Weight Gain and Build Muscle at a nice pace but easy on stomach
I like how i am feeling and i want to continue and suceed
Thanks and God Bless Scott
Add both to your diet. EVOO is packed with good calories for adding muscle. Fish oil is loaded with EFA's that provide a long list of health benefits discussed in thousands of posts on this forum.
Congrats on the early progress and that was nice of your doc to hook you up with a free gym membership!
The best supplements I can recommend:
- Protein
- Flax Seed Oil
- Creatine
- Multi-vitamin
- Vitamin C
The rest of your time should be spent focusing on diet, training, and rest.
And if you say you work out every day except Friday then you are over-training so you might want to cut back your training to 3 days a week. More is not always better, especially in the case of gaining weight and building muscle mass.
Thx WeightGainNet I am using the following:
Protein (UPYourMass) & JayRobb Egg White Protein<cause i like the taste
- Virgin Olive Oil
- Creatine (Jack3D) Unless u suggest something else
- Multi-vitamin
- Vitamin C (& D per request of Dr since mine is very low 3000iu daily)
As far as working out daily i was working on the upper half one day and the lower half the other days (legs calves etc etc) If you think it would be better to workout Mon. Wed. and Fri and Sun will do !!! Since i started two weeks ago i went from 148lbs to 155lbs and i feel GREAT. amazing what u can gain when u get rid of STRESS my Dr is very impressed. and THX if you have any other info let me know. I really APPRECIATE Everything from you Guys !!!!!! Scott
Scott, welcome - you're just a baby to me, I'm forty seven.
Can you tell me how many calories you eat every day on average? FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal if you don't know, enter your food and report back with your macros. (Read the link in my sig on getting started if you don't know what I'm asking with the word "macros")
