    Post workout recovery drink

    Hi guys and gals,

There seem to be 101 different post work out/recovery/all in one drinks out there on the market at the moment. I am taking my training the most serious I have since I started when I was 16, just wondering if there is a best one out there or what you guys/gals out there take?

Dont really feel like eating a solid meal after training, I usually take 1/2 a serving of a weigh gainer and then eat an hour after that. Just wondering if any of the recovery drink work (lucozade, maximuscle cyclone, phd recovery 21 etc)?

    - Carbo Force
    - Ultra Fuel

Those are 2 good ones I've used before. Or you can mix your own by using a 50/50 mix of dextrose and maltodextrin. Add some Kool-Aid for flavor and you're set.

That takes care of the post-workout carbs. For protein, I like to drink a protein shake.

This high carb "liquid meal" causes an insulin spike after your workout and stops muscle catabolism. It gets nutrients to your muscles fast.

    Enjoy!
