I use them as a last resort. I usually eat tow pure protein or 1 meal replacement bar. (Not necessarily MT's though.)
Just as the title says guys. I tried their Cookies and Cream bar and it tasted like candy. It was great. It says 20 grams per bar and I was wondering whether I should take one a day just to add some change to taking powders all day. I am hoping that these bars are actually good and not hype so that I can just replace the shake for one period. I'll still take it 3 times a day(The protein powder)! What do you guys say?

Not only sugar, but alot of the protein bars unfairly tout high protein numbers by counting the worthless protein in the binder which is gelatin, so you dont even know what your really getting. Some of them in the past did not count some of the sugar in them because if it was honey or etc they didn't have to count the carbs, I believe that loophole is no longer allowed though.

you're thinking of glycerin, it was not counted as a carb because it does not affect insulin the way a typical carb/sugar does (and becuase it really is not a carb), but it is now required that glycerin be included in the total carb count on the labels.
Glycerin (glycerine, glycerol) is also not technically a carbohydrate, though it does contain about the same number of calories per gram. Glycerin is a type of alcohol that is one of the by-products of fat metabolism. If the manufacturer of a food product chooses not to list glycerin and sugar alcohols as carbohydrates on nutrition labels, then the calorie count will add up differently than you would expect using the generally accepted formula of counting 9 calories per gram of fat, 4 for carbs, and 4 for protein. Some people who are resistant to weight loss report that glycerin and sugar alcohols can produce stalls.
Xenadrine bars are supposed to be the next greatest bar for low carb dieters (2 grams of carbs). Also, they added CLA.
Will give them a try after I finish my last few Designer "Candy Bars"! ;-)

As far as CLA there is no real evidence that it has any fat burning effect in humans, only animals >>
