    Question on creatine

I am currently taking 10g of creatine mono after my workouts everyday. I there anything wrong with that? Also Im trying to consume a gallon of water a day, was wondering how many 500ml bottles that is a day? How long does it normally take to start seeing results also?

    Thanks in advance

massive amounts of creatine info on her bro...use das search:P

but 5-15mg of mono a day should do, or you could load (depending when you started with 20-30mg a day for four to 7 days to saturate your muscles with creatine, mixed with some sort of juice or gatorade (creatine is best taken with a form of glucose for absorbtion)..after a week take regular 5-15g per day. studies found that best time to take it was about 30 mins before training.

I'm with Unclem. Five works fine for me, and I use it with dextrose. only difference being I don't cycle off.

loading is unnecessary. there is some merit to taking it with a carb source, as long as it is high gi, then it doesnt really matter which. ~5g a day should do, once your body reaches saturation levels you could lower it as more does nothing at that point.

I use 5g a day in my pre-workout shake. Simple and effective.

Is there anything wrong with putting it in with 2 scoops of whey protein and 500 ml of water? Should I drop down to 5g then?

Fine to put it in a protein shake-just that some of us were saying that 10 might be a bit high. Five works well for me. But if someone wants to take ten, it'll just double their creatine bill for the year. Not exactly breaking the bank.

5 grams a day, probably better utilized in a POST workout shake or with a post workout meal in my opinion.

to the guy mentioning "grape drink" above: Everyone's definition of grape drink is different, based on what is availablee to them.

What he said! I take closer to 3-4 after saturation and never pre-load. Studies show that after 3 weeks levels are the same whether you pre-load or not.
Honestly, I cant believe people still ask questions about creatine in forums with all the info out there. It is the most studied supplement ever.

They all absorb as-is. They just get taken up better and faster with insulin. Milk proteins are insulinemic - if you're eating cottage cheese or whey, maybe take it then. Or perhaps with leucine.
Wondering where to start? Confused? "Homework 1" will get you started.

Think you're ready for the "next step"? Take this test.

nope...the more skeletal muscle a person has the more nutrients can be stored in skeletal muscle, this includes creatine.

Supposedly just about every new form says an insulin spike is not necessary for increased absorption. Kre-alkalyn, CEE, Dicreatine malate all boast of increased bioavailability.
