    Question Vioxx

Has anyone ever used Vioxx...prescribed by your doctor...with success?

I've had some serious and deep tendonitis near the insertion of the brachioradialis of my left arm. We discussed Cortisone but he suggested this first.

Any thoughtc?? Should I expect results or will I be back for some Cortisone in the near future??

I used Mobic for some bad tendonitis in my left elbow. I eventually had to get a cortisone shot. I hate to tell you but that hurt like a MF!! But it cleared up for a month or two. Then it started coming back slowly. Now I just have to be careful with it and take Mobic if it gets sore. The best thing to do really is try to find exercises that don't aggrevate it! Liike I can't do dumbbell tricep extensions much...they kill my elbow. I heard Vioxx can be hard on the liver....and too much cortisone is not good either!

I took Vioxx for about 2 weeks. Gave me the worst indigestion, ulcer type feeling that I've ever had in my life. Seems is supposed to be ok for the stomach, but not mine. Ended up in the emergency room one night because I didn't know what it was, and it felt like a damn heart problem. It did help my shoulder while I was taking it. The best thing they did was send me to PT for stretching exercises and warm up routines. That honestly helped the most.

Yeah...cortisone is rough stuff...doc doesn't want to give it to me since he's worried I may rupture a tendon or something...we'll see.

I'm just taking 1x25mg Vioxx per day.

I've been using that strategy for several months now...avoiding certain things but it's getting sooo frustrating now. Especially trying to train triceps...pretty much the only thing I can do are cable pressdowns...which aren't going to do much in terms of adding strength or mass to the arms...lol I can only dream of close-grip presses again but that is years away at this pace.

Likewise ith back and biceps...also very limiting and my arms are strating to show....strength and size are down.....this is really starting to piss me off. I even took 1 month off training...even this did nothing!

I do cable tricep pushdowns too. Try using a rope and pull apart at the bottom of the exercise...it really burns your tri's. Unfortunately, that is one of the hardest places to heal. Just have to be easy on it and give it plenty of time. Mine has been over a year now!

I was prescribed it about a year ago when I partially tore my left trap from my shoulder blade. I was prescribed some pretty potent pain killers also at the time but the Viox did help with my mobility.
If I gotta eat one more f**kin egg......
