best bet is to get at min 1gram per body weight...

I am curious as to what my fellow forum member's take on how much protein to ingest daily.
I know that the "advertising" states that it should be 1 g per 1 lb of bodyweight.
However, I am 44 (45 in April) and my metabolism has slowed compared to my fellow 20/30 year olds out there.
Any feedback on protein intake for over 40 year old bodybuilders??

Rule of thumb is a gram per pound lean mass (not bodyweight) at a minimum. Older people and dieters should probably aim higher than this - it enhances bone density, protects lean mass and enhances satiety - which is a real consideration for those of us over forty and trying to keep our weight down!

I get around 300 grams. I'm not quite over 40 yet, however.
