need to gain weight - Weight gainers any good?

i'm due for a basketball competition in 2 months and i'm hoping to put on at least 7 lbs by then...are weight gainers the way to go?...from the labels they look like they're just a lot of carbs and moderate in protein content..

i'm 165 lbs, six meals a day. 180g protein per day,
train heavy (basic compound) 5 days a week..

    thanks in advance!

I'd look at your diet first. Are you getting 1 gram of protein per pound?

If you are interested though, I use Pro Labs N' Large II and works very well. But your routine might be too active and you may be over working your muscles and that may be the reason for your weight staying th same.
