BRAM, France—Bio Serae Laboratories will highlight a study showing Cacti-Nea™’s diuretic effect and will showcase its newly organic-certified ingredient Serenzo™ at Vitafoods, Geneva, booth 940.
An open intra-individual study on the company’s Cacti-Nea™ confirmed its diuretic effect. Conducted at the end of 2010 on 15 women with water retention troubles, the aim of this study was to evaluate Cacti-Nea™’s diuretic effect at the dose of 2g/day during one week. Results showed Cacti-Nea™ helped to significantly increase diuresis by 27 percent on women with body mass index (BMI) greater than 25 and significantly decrease swelling sensation (feet, ankles and calves) and heavy legs sensation. Most (87 percent) of the women were convinced by Cacti-Nea™’s efficiency at the end of the study, as revealed in a global satisfaction questionnaire the volunteers had to fill in.
This was the second clinical study to confirm Cacti-Nea™’s diuretic effect and shows that it could help to refine the silhouette, according to the company
