I'd guess water, since he didn't list 'milk' in there.

Not to mention mixing dextrose and milk would make for an...interesting taste...

I never set numbers on these things, so:

some dextrose (or maltodextrin, or a combination of both).
some whey (or a combination of whey and casein).
some creatine (if i have any).

This is a little recipe I use:

0.8-1.0 g/kg/bw of a 50/50 blend of dextrose and maltodextrin

0.4-0.6 g/kg/bw of hydrolyzed whey (maybe some isolate blended in for taste) 50% minimum of hydrolyzed

    3-5 g BCAA's

    5-10 g glutamine

    5 g creatine

Very good stuff. I use it religiously.

40 grams whey protein (much of which is hydrolized)
    60 grams simple carbs
    2 g arginine
    10 grams glutamine peptides

I add 5 g creatine to this mix and feel great. I then eat about 60 minutes later.

Kuso, you can probably make that yourself for cheaper.

GP, you're using arginine post w/o as well as the PE?

Mixing the malto and dextrose isn't that essential. if you're taking in 100g of dextrose at one time, then yeah, half and half of dex/malto is a good idea, but really, if you're taking in 30-50g then there's not that much point.

Dextrose is available all over. Have you tried pharamcies?

Breweries? (seriously, they have it as corn sugar)

Grape sugar, glucose, dextrose, corn starch - all the same stuff.

They are a pretty simple bunch over here I know its usually the Brewries and chemists that sell it, infact this is where I`ve bought it at home, though the chemists don`t sell it here, nothing but either table or brown sugar, and I have no idea as to where to even look for a brewery

No...right now I just use the PE immediately after the workout and then a shake 30 minutes later.

Before this experiment I was using the Recover X + creatine titrate. Actually, that is what I use most of the year unless I'm being a human lab rat.

Its a creamy orange flavor. Its not great, but not bad either. Yes, I mix it in water. Biotest puts out a good post workout shake too, but it tastes like raw sewage!
