BCAA's? I try to take about 4 grams with protein before workout and 4 grams with protein after workout. Maybe a couple more grams with my shake before bed too.

There really isn't a bad time to take bcaas. Many people take them throughout the day. I prefer them intra-workout. I would just get a large tub of bulk unflavored (cheap) and toss in a good flavoring agent.

Agreed tabs are not cost effective, also heard stories of some guys finding them in the toilet after dropping a deuce, so who knows. I like bulk powders, honestly though bcaa's work fine, they give you the more important amino's during training. IBCAA by primordial performance or Xtend by scivation are my top two.

I second the IBCAA and Xtend suggestions. Good stuff there for intra
