In any case with 4 to 10 you'll good to go.
It also depend from your health supps.
If you use good bp and joint supps even 4gr of fish oil will be enough.

well this has more to do with my liver lipid's while on cycle. I have everything else down packed. with my plan of 2-3caps twice a day will = 4.8-7.2g daily of omega 3 and 9.

The AHA has found 3g combined EPA/DHA "GRAS" - generally regarded as safe - without medical supervision.
My feeling is that if the uber-conservative AHA finds 3g EPA/DHA GRAS, 3g is probably minimal.
10 g (10 standard fish-oil capsules) of fish oil provide 3g combined EPA/DHA for most commercial brands, and that's what I take.

What about something like Lovaza. What would an ideal dosage on that be. I get it by prescription for like 2 dollars.I always have a ton extra on hand

Each one provides 0.84g combined EPA/DHA. I like to suggest 3g combined EPA/DHA, so four will do you good - and happens to be the recommended dose.
I'd suggest spreading it out across at least two doses rather than taking it all at once, and you might want to consider taking it with fatty food, your vitamins D and A and a little supplemental vitamin E (I take 100 IU daily).

I am vitamin d deficient so i take 5000 iu a day of d3. Lovaza I take 1 pill twice a day so I will up it


I take 4000 IU vitamin D also. I don't take Lovaza because we don't have it here yet, but I take 10g of fish oil for the 3g EPA/DHA, in two doses - the first 5g I take with vitamins A, D and E and a protein shake, then I eat my breakfast which is usually cottage cheese, tuna and an avocado.
Keeps me full, and the fats help me absorb the supps.

Sorry if I was unclear in my post above OP but Built took care of it for me. I like to spread my fish oil, 2-4 doses per day. I keep a bottle in my desk, grab a few before lunch and a few before my workout. I think the taking of 6-10 grams of fish oil a day is vital if you are any kind of athlete and especially if you run any kind of gear. To me it is cheap and so effective on overall health to not take it.
