Muscletech subject of personal injury lawsuit – autoimmune hepatitis from Hydroxycut
    by Anthony Roberts

A lawsuit filed on May 2nd, 2011 alleges that as a direct result of ingesting Muscletech’s Hydroxycut product from February 2007 to December 2007, the plaintiff experienced elevated liver enzymes and was ultimately diagnosed with Autoimmune Hepatitis. This condition is generally marked by inflammation of the liver that occurs when immune cells begin attacking other cells within the liver.

Also named in the lawsuit was Bactolac (the manufacturer named in the Species/Lipolyze lawsuit), Garden State Nutritionals, Vitaquest International, Douglas Laboratories, Marco Hi Tech, and Interhealth Neutraceuticals. Interestingly, as we have seen previously with usnic acid-related liver failure, the majority of injuries have been suffered by females (in the case of Hydroxycut, 65%).

So wait, this as*hole took a fat burner for almost a year as well as various other supplements from companies companies listed at the same time? Were they binge drinking all year as well? Give me a break.

As for the majority of injuries being suffered by females? Yeah, cause they typically don't drink enough water as it is, much less when they're taking a fat burner.

I should counter-sue this f*cknut for raising my blood pressure.
