COMPLETE PROTEIN Rx would work well for you and add quality calories, we should have this out in the next 2-3 weeks.

youre favorite protein powder + whole milk + oatmeal + peanut butter + leftovers from last night + blender = cheap weight gainer

you can leave out last nights left overs but weight gainers are not anything magical.

Totally agree. There's plenty of recipes out there to make your own weight gainer shake. Just have to find one you like.

Tons of food and 2 whey shakes a day should do the trick! Loaded whey shakes that is. I put whatever I can get ahold of in mine! I'm bulking tho.

There's some muscle and weight gainers out there with your whey and egg and casein proteins which are slow acting and will allow you to gain weight..
I like to mix a banana with mine, better taste

I'm sure the Complete Protein Rx will be great, but in the mean time, make your own. As stated above, milk/oats/protein powder/peanut butter/banana.....you can make a damn tasty one at home I promise.

I guess it only works if the bottle you bought it in says it does. Plus, ronnie coleman and jay cutler dont take homemade shakes...they take "muscle stack, huge back, massive quads, EXTREME...with penile boost."

If you want a cheap weight gainer go to sizzler or home town buffet and eat your 8 dollars worth of two full days of calories in one sitting.

One benefit I get from a homemade weight gainer is...I can still use whey isolate. Haven't seen many affordable weight gainers with pure isolate.

    Weight gainers are just food.

How about you get a protein powder you like. Mix it up with milk or with water, and toss into this a scoop of dextrose and a couple of tablespoons of olive oil. An ounce of olive oil (2 tablespoons) will give you about 250 calories; with the dextrose you've just boosted your protein shake by over 300 extra calories.

Olive oil is cheap, heart-healthy and can boost your testosterone. Dextrose is the right kind of sugar for your muscles, and costs very little. I get mine by the tub in the wine-kit aisle at the grocery store. You can also purchase it online, or at any U-brew.
Wondering where to start? Confused? "Homework 1" will get you started.

Think you're ready for the "next step"? Take this test.

Food is the best gainer, IMO. If you want to add some healthy high calorie shakes, gainers are fine, they typically have some malto and such which you could also add to another protein powder or switch out for oats, etc. for Protein and Fat, Ultra Peptide 2.0 from Xtreme Formulations is possibly the most amazing tasting protein you will ever have. Add in some carbohydrate source and you have a gainer right there.

But its understandable that you might not want so many steps to get our shake, so in that case a pre-made gainer product is perfect for you. I've used Gaspari's Real Mass, True Mass by BSN, Controlled Labs Golden Gains (pricey but insanely tasty) and Isopure mass is pretty good too. The Gaspari is prob my favorite taste wise (other than GoldenGains) and second would be True Mass
