Why would you want to use it anyway with more valuable proteins available? Also, even with the protein isolated I believe it still contains levels of what may be considered "phytoestrogens."

what is the verdict on this ? since the protein has been isolated it's ok to use for body building, right ?![]()
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

I was just wondering for general purposes. I was under the assumption that the phytoestrogens had been removed from the soy isolates, hence the name...

I'm not sure if they get removed or are just inherent in the protein.Originally posted by LAM

cool...I'll try to dig up some info on this.
someone had asked me a question on another board if soy isolates are comparable to whey because their religion prohibited them from using dairy..

I've seen albumen sold in convenient powder forms.. would their religion allow that?
Well soy is not a bad protein. It is actually quite high in BCAAs. Also, some studies show that the phytochemicals in soy can raise thyroid function. However, there are still some that believe that these same phytochemicals (Daidzen as example) have negative effects on test and estrogen levels in males.Originally posted by LAM

How about albumin as Corri mentioned, or casein?
