Hey! There's some creatine in my protein!

Well, after buying a weightgainer called 'Mass Power' by American Muscle, I found out that it also contains a blend called 'SynerMax', containing creatine, glutamine, taurine & arginine. I didn't expect/realise this, but I talked with the guy who sold it to me in some depth before buying it and he seemed quite confident that the powder what quite suitable for me.
My question is, is creatine (along with the other ingedients) the sort of stuff you have to be 'on', or is it ok to take them as a supplement, like protein? Each serving (100g) of this powder contains 1000mg of SynerMax, but I don't know the individual breakdown for the ingredients...

    Any advice/warnings/reassurances would be welcome

I dont think its a bad thing to have creatine in the protein, although I dont know if the carbs/sugars are going to be optimal to help uptake, and I dont know much about uptake theory anway. I just have my creatine in my carb drink, some prefer grape juice, blah blah.
