What supplements to take for strength training

I'm 5'6 and 170 lbs. I just started lifting weights. My goal is to gain strength and muscle. I'm not completely out of shape but I wanna lose a few pounds and get ripped. A friend suggested anabolic halo and nano vapor. Any other suggestions? Should I go with halo and vapor

Sounds like a smart fella, no one smart buys Muscletech is just overpriced crap.

Get some multi (Super Multi by Dymatize-2 tabs in the morning or similar), fish oil (NOW is the cheapest I think-3 caps in AM, 3 caps in PM) and whey for postworkout shake (1 scoop mixed with water and 30g of maltodextrin or dextrose).

Look around at Orbitnutrition.com and check out Pes Anabeta, BPS Endosurge, and Myofusion protein. Anabeta is very popular and lot of logs on it. Myofusion Protein by Gaspari taste really good with a solid profile. Make sure your diet is spot on with solid protein every day.

just train hard + some whey i would say 30-50 g from supplements the rest you take it from natural food , vitamins maybe and good diet high protein , moderate carbs and low fat and low fast sugars. let most of your carbs be during the day instead of night. NO magic formula there the magic words are WILL and PATIENCE
